Le pont \u00e9tait alors toujours ferm\u00e9 \u00e0 la circulation. Comme on le sait, le pont a par la suite \u00e9t\u00e9 ouvert exceptionnellement en saison hivernale en raison de la fermeture du pont de Capelton. Par chance, les jambes de force ont \u00e9t\u00e9 conserv\u00e9es.
